An Adult Learning Centre for the people in and around the Torfaen area,The Power Station opened its doors for the first
time in April 2006. As the classes filled it was suggested that it would soon become necessary to have someone to run
the small coffee shop on the ground floor. I was lucky enough to be chosen for this job!
At the moment there are only the staff and students that use the cafe. In 2007 we want to see more local people
using the facilities here.
The cafe is open to the public from 10:00am - 3:00pm Monday to Friday.
Why not come along and see what we have to offer? We try to vary our menu daily. Have a look around the building
or browse the many leaflets on display in reception. If you have any suggestions as to how to improve the cafe then please
use the link on the contact us page.
Although we are open to the general public, we also cater for buffets for those that have booked meetings or
seminars at The Power Station. For further information go to the contact us page and send an email using "Buffet Menu"
as your subject matter.
We can now offer outside catering. Between Monday -
Friday only. Just send us an email and we will send you our menus, or you can ring us. Our number is on our contact us page.
Also available for hire: Cups, Saucers, T/plates as well as trays, cutlery and
dishes. £20 deposit required as standard the cost for hire depends on how many required.
Inside the cafe area is a Book Swap Shop!! If you wish to come along
and exchange your books for some more!! Why not have a cuppa while you browse!!
